Check Out My Reality TV Star Booking Company

16

Dec

Hey, everyone!
That’s me.
Thanks for checking out my blog. I’ve decided to use tumblr for archival purposes (stealing this idea from a literary friend, actually). I don’t mind posts being public because nothing on here would/should be confessional. Instead, I’ll be sporadically posting film reviews, opinions on pop culture, cinema coursework, etc… I mean, I can write all of that and mean it, but I know that eventually, and inevitably, I’ll get more personal. Sorry.
I’m currently living in New York City, finishing up my degree at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts for Cinema Studies and Physics. I love the entertainment industry and I am fascinated by the concept of fame. More so, i am fascinated with how people choose to take advantage of the platform it bestows upon them.
I run my own reality television star booking company. Meaning, I contractually book all of your favorites from MTV, Vh1, etc. to appear wherever someone is actually willing to pay for them.
Lastly, I titled my blog after my favorite film quote. “Sometimes nothing can be a real cool hand” is a quote from Cool Hand Luke, my favorite Paul Newman movie. In the movie Paul plays a prisoner at a work camp who refuses to follow the rules. The boys play cards for fun and Newman earns his nickname, Cool Hand Luke, after winning a hand of poker with a bluff. He then delivers the now classic line.
Fun fact: Paul Newman’s Newman’s Own foundation has donated over $280 million to charity since it’s formation. That’s how you take advantage of the platform.
So here’s to you, Paul.
