The Megan Hauserman Proust Questionnaire
I still get a kick out of watching this. Above is a link to a page of videos featuring the fantastic Megan Hauserman, reality TV superstar, taking the famous Proust Questionnaire from Vanity Fair.
I miss Megan on my TV. Here’s to reminiscing and hoping her return to VH1 is sooner rather than later.

“It Could Have Been Me”

M

egan Hauserman finally breaks her silence on the tragedy that completely turned the world of reality television, and Megan’s own reality, upside down.

I usually don’t like to title the post with a quote, but there just isn’t a better way in this case.

You all know by now that I’m a fan of Megan Hauserman. In fact, I would go as far as to say that she is the only reality television personality that I’m actually a fan of. If you’re unfamiliar with Megan, make sure to read my previous featured posts on her, and you’ll get familiar. She’s someone you should know for one reason or another.

First and foremost, she’s a reality television superstar. I mentioned briefly that Megan had achieved reality gold in landing her own spinoff dating show appropriately titled Megan Wants A Millionaire and that it was prematurely cancelled. Honestly, I wasn’t sure how comfortable the TV star was with speaking about what had happened. Now, in this weeks issue of People, Megan sets the record straight on the real life tragedy that could have prematurely ended her shot at television fame.

The interview is really good. It reveals a lot about what Megan went through during this trying time, and it even reveals a few details about the story that the public hadn’t yet been exposed to. It doesn’t, however, champion Megan for all that she has accomplished and overcome. It should have… because she deserves it! She’s a good person at heart. While this may be a time for, as Megan says, reevaluating and re-prioritizing, Hauserman’s future is bright, and I predict that for us, it will be documented by Vh1.

The Star Quality of Paul Newman and more

T

o remember why I started writing and where I want to go.

I’ve had a lot of fun writing. I like that I started writing this blog in an attempt to rally for a job blogging with Vh1. I really like that Megan Hauserman of Vh1 fame has reposted my blog and contact information on her website in support. More importantly, I love that I kept writing both because I wanted to, and because people have actually been reading.

Thanks Megan!

Anyway, I started by posting some NYU film critiques, and by reviewing some reality shows. Once I started to pick up the pace, I started to focus my writing on things I was really interested in like Hollywood, inspiring facts, the fame platform, bad girl bombshells, and, of course, Paul Newman.

Having said that, and while I do love me some Jwoww, I just wanted to remind myself, and hopefully inspire at least one other reader, of why I dedicated this blog to my hero Paul Newman.

Paul was never the greatest technical actor, but he worked extremely hard, he never gave up on his dream, and above all else, he had star quality. More importantly than what he had, is what he did. As of 2008 (it’s now 2010, remember), Paul Newman is credited as donating over $280 million to charity, all due to a good head on his shoulders, a heart in the right place, and a massive platform.

Cool Hand Luke is my favorite Paul Newman movie because of it’s message:

There are always going to be people in your life who don’t get it. They’ll feel like they should have power over you, for one reason or another, but if you’re the right kind of person, a person with that star quality, that little something special, then they’ll always be a step behind, wondering what makes you tick.

Nothing Better than a Bad Girl Bombshell

L

eighton Meester, Megan Hauserman, Olivia Palermo, and more.

I’ve been monitoring this blog’s progress over the past month or so using an outside analytics software. I’m happy to report that people are reading and the readers do grow exponentially as the days go by. Keep in mind, I only really hope for one enthusiastic reader per post. That isn’t why I’m posting now, though.

Instead, I’d like to make it known that I apparently get about five times as many readers for a post about a hot girl than I do about anything else; hollywood, movies, news, music, quotes, etc. As a thank you to those girls who have made the blog more popular than I thought it would be, and a lot more fun to write, here’s an extra helping of each!

Charisma Carpenter

Mary Louise Parker

Jordana Brewster

Megan Hauserman

Leighton Meester

Blake Lively

Olivia Palermo

PS: I had to turn on the google safe search when getting some new Megan pics… so here’s an extra pic of fan favorite Hauserman! Also, Megan has been especially supportive of the blog, so sign her petition for a new VH1 show below.

Bad Girl Bombshell of the Day: Megan Hauserman of Vh1

… and she’s good with kids too!

I first came across playboy cybergirl Megan during her stint on Beauty and the Geek. I remember watching one of those all day marathons on TV concluding it all with her well deserved win alongside partner Scooter. More so than that, I remember her wrestling sheep in a barnyard challenge. Anyway, I remember thinking that she had a little something special, but like most reality veterans, I figured I’d never see her again.

Lightning struck twice and Hauserman was subsequently cast on Vh1’s Rock of Love 2, which was in my opinion one of the better shows in Vh1 reality history. Flavor of Love started the trend, but Rock of Love does it bigger and better. They could have very well cast her, playmate looks aside, because everyone knows there’s nothing a producer loves more than having the controversy of already having done a show pop up mid-season. Well, Vh1 lucked out immensely. I like to think of Rock of Love 2 as more of a launching pad for Megan’s career in reality, though.

Her real moment came on “of love” spinoff mega hit I Love Money, where Vh1 vets were invited back to compete for $250,000 as opposed to the affection of a has been celebrity. Hauserman undeniably dominated both the competition and the show. Megan was hotter, smarter, and all around better. In fact, she’s the only one who managed to deliver sound bites worth remembering. After a jury of eliminated contestants was brought in to judge the final three competitors, Megan quit rather than giving them the satisfaction of knowing she got what she deserved.

She did get what she deserved. She got everything she ever wanted and maybe a little more in her own spinoff appropriately titled Megan Wants a Millionaire in which the ultimate trophy wife in training went in search of, well, a millionaire. The show was prematurely cancelled for pretty well known reasons, but viewers are definitely still waiting for the next move in Hauserman’s television career.

Vh1 needs to consider what they’d be losing in Megan. People who are unfamiliar with entertainment don’t know how to explain it, but Megan has what is commonly referred to as x-factor. She has that little something extra that makes people, love her or hate her, want to watch her. She has the looks and the personality. On top of that, she’s cunning to say the least, but it’s not about that at this point. Season after season, hundreds of reality wannabes are forced down viewers throats. Wannabes that think they know exactly what viewers want. The truth is, viewers don’t want fake drama and obnoxious idiots “acting” for cameras. Viewers want Megan!
